Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:Assist in the basic care needs of patients, including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
Attend to the comfort and hygiene requirements of patients.
- Mobility Assistance:Help patients with mobility issues to move around, including transferring them between beds and wheelchairs.
Collaborate with physical therapists to assist in exercises and rehabilitation activities.
- Observation and Reporting:Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
Document patient information and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Assistance with Medical Procedures:Support medical procedures as directed by the nursing staff or healthcare providers.
Assist in the setup and preparation of medical equipment.
- Patient and Family Support:Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their loved ones.
- Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment:Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms and common areas.
Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team:Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Participate in care planning meetings and contribute valuable insights to the healthcare team.
- Education and Compliance:Stay updated on healthcare regulations and guidelines.
Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Emergency Response:Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
Follow established protocols for emergency care and evacuation procedures.
- Promoting Patient Dignity and Independence:Respect the dignity and autonomy of patients.
Encourage and assist patients in maintaining independence to the fullest extent possible.
